The previous homeowner had this unit installed. Even though it is a window mount, they put it through the wall. I don't know how, perhaps by magic.Because it's through the wall under a window, it is close to the floor, and the writing on the controls have poor contrast, it's difficult to use the front panel controls. Also, I'm too old to bend down and my trifocals make it more difficult to see the markings. However, there is a remote control which makes it way easy to use. Yeah !As best I can tell this unit is over 4 years old and has been running pretty much 24/7, 365, here in Florida. It is still working well, but, I'm going to upgrade it to 12,000 or 14,000 BTUs, as this room is poorly insulated, roof and walls, and this unit seems to be a bit too small too handle the heat load, especially as the nation has been having a heatwave.

I bought this air conditioner last week it keeps the room cool but it is the loudest air conditioner I've ever heard

I love it. It keeps the whole house cool there be times I would have to turn it off. I don™™t even need an ac in my bedroom and this ac is located in the living room.

Our older Frigidaire model was loosing the ability to cool our bedroom after 6 years of constant use (even through the winter as my husband likes the noise). This model does not cool below 62 degrees (cannot set below 62). That may be ok for most people but we like to keep the room at 60 degrees when sleeping so it is a bit disappointing that there is a restriction on the newer model (2 degrees really does MATTER). I do not recommend this model if you are used to a temperature below 62 degrees, there is no flexibility. If you are used to a warmer temperature, this model will be acceptable.

Works grest just wish the remote was a little more accurate, but thats a small issue otherwuse great unit.
