This is my second unit. The first unit was 17 years old and heated and cooled out sunroom. The new unit has an updated control panel and is quieter than it's predecessor. It's been in service for only 14 days, but I think it's going to suit quite well!

I have had a GE air conditioner in my bedroom for many, many years. When it came time to replace the air conditioner in my living room I chose GE again. It was just installed today. I am using the heating function and it seems to be working fine. I will be able to talk about the AC function in just a few weeks.

Noisy and lots of cycling on/off

The product performs well. However, the sound volume is a bit too high. Also the unit seems to cycle on and off quite a lot. I'm not sure this is normal. With outdoor temp about 34 degF it will cycle every 3 minutes for hours. I checked the current and it runs in heat pump mode at approx 4 amps and 16 amps in heat boost mode. It has been installed for a short time Dec 2020 so I'm going to give it a chance into the summer to see how the AC works.

Great slide in unit.

Product does what it needs to do. Don't like the automatic electric heat function upon first starting heat mode. Also don't like the feature where it brings on electric heat if the ambient temperature is more than one degree than the setpoint. Other than that, the unit does its duty when needed and it is very simple to use and install.
