I bought it about two months ago for our kitchen remodel. It has great power and good features.
One recommendation I have is the push button on the front should be swapped out for a traditional kitchenAid pull handle (like the over-stove models). The push button is a bit "cheap feeling" when pressed.
The rolling ring under the glass turn-table was broken right out of the box. It was definitely a molding defect (broke at the nit line). The appliance store replaced it -no questions!

Kitchen Aid really made a great one here: hands down, the best microwave I've ever had. This replace my 20+ year Amanda II. This is my first one with a carousel. That definitely makes a big difference in the efficient cooking process. This unit has to be the quietest unit ever made-ultra low FB levels! The three main differences between the two units are: the Amana had a removable shelf, was rated at 1050 watts and had a few more selection controls. Now,, the shelf was very insignificant because I hardly used it. The power is higher on KA which is just perfect. The only drawback that I wish The KA had would be the one-touch for: 15, 30, and 1:30 increments. The unit has just about everything else that is essential. The buttons are a little stiff, but those few issues aside this unit still deserves a full 5 star rating.

Bought as replacement for built in Kitchen Aid microwave that parts were not available any longer to repair. Everything works great, wish the clock was in bright green lighting as one replaced. It does not match the two ovens clock display now in our home.

I like this microwave because it cooks quickly and is easy to use. I like KitchenAid brand but I think I was used to my old microwave therefore I am a little biased on the new one. This one works well and cooks quickly. It is simple to use. The door doesnt open as easily as my old one does. The new one does look a lot sharper than the old one. These microwaves are pricey but built to last. In a few weeks I should have a better opinion.
