I've had this fridge 4 yrs and have no complaints on how it works but the shelves are junk. I had duct tape trying to keep them together for months. The best thing I did was replace all the shelves with plexiglass, no plastic trim now - great

This refrigerator came with our house and it's the one thing in our kitchen that my husband and I both dislike. Basically, it functions fine but there are enough inexplainable design flaws that we bought a new fridge to replace it, despite the fact that it's still functioning. Pros: - Fridge and freezer both keep food at appropriate temperatures - Lots of storage in fridge door (which is needed because shelf space is limited) - In the 3 years we've been using it we have not had it serviced and it continues to function well (I don't know the age of it as it came with the house) - Stainless steel front is magnetic, a plus if you like using magnets on your fridge Cons: - Fridge shelves have a wide plastic band around them, limiting amount of functional shelf space - There is a gap between the bottom shelf and back wall large enough for a 12 ounce can to fall into the drawer below. Why they designed it this way makes no sense and it's annoying every time you have to fish out a can, bottle, or container that has fallen off the shelf. - Ice maker is large and takes up far too much space, plus the ice in the bottom oftentimes melts together just enough to form a large clump of cubes that won't dispense. I gave up using the dispenser and just open the freezer to grab ice cubes as I need them-sort of defeats the purpose of the dispenser. - Freezer shelves are not adjustable. Kiss frozen pizzas goodbye unless you're willing to sacrifice an entire shelf to house one pizza at a time (placed diagonally across the shelf) - The tray below the dispenser, meant to catch ice cubes or water is not removable and cleaning it is a hassle. - Freezer door storage is limited, not adjustable, and depth of containers isn't conducive to storing much in them The people we bought our house from had a small deep freeze and a mini-fridge in the basement and after three years using this Whirlpool I understand why. My mom always said she would never buy a side-by-side refrigerator because the space is poorly utilized and you can't store as much in it as you can in a classic fridge. She was right. My new fridge is a freezer-on-bottom and I cannot wait for it to be delivered! :)

have you product. was missing glass on veg shelf draw, and draws cracked on slide of draws, really cheep draws, cant find right size for glass draws. And shelf in freezer is to small, and shelves don't stay in place always folling out.

Not only did the water dispenser break (twice, guys) barely out of warranty, but the shelves are now falling apart. This fridge is less than two years old. There isn't enough space for food storage for two adults and three small children???especially in the freezer.Also, the water pressure coming out of the water dispenser has always been a severe disappointment, and our home water pressure is excellent everywhere else. It was installed by professionals.I can't stand this fridge.

I admire my refrigerator cleanlines and simplicity design but what I like most of all is the all black color which makes it easy to clean and its functionality which makes it easy to use as well. Especially for someone like me who is always on the go. The water filtration system located on the door comes in handy too.

For the price of this unit it is outstanding. The quality of this refrigerator is great. It does not have all the unneccessary bells and whistles but it has all the needed features and a few extras too like crushed or cubed ice and water in the door.. It is quiet, quiet, quiet and energy star rated too. The doors are texturized to elliminate finger prints, in fact the exterior side walls are textured as well. This machine leaves me warm and fuzzy all over while making sure my food doesn't get that way.

We have had our refrigerator for several months and are very happy with how easy it is to use. We love the water and ice feature. Even though our, fairly tall toddler can reach the paddles, it is very easy to lock them so we don't find a puddle. Very energy efficient.The only minor issue we have is that it can be fairly noisy but not excessively loud.

I bought this side-by-side and it is snow making weird noises. After it runs, it makes clicking sounds for 4 or 5 minutes. The dealer said it is the fan slowing down. I know this is false. This just proves he doesn't know his products.I expect it to completely die any day, now.

I like the whirlpool brand, it is a good quality product that has a good reputation. I like the outside black finish, easy to wash off, cant see hand prints and dirt spots after the kids put their hands all over it.

I love this refrigerator. It has a lock button on the water and ice which is great for us because we have a 2 year old that would have ice and water everywhere. The only downfall is the size of the freezer. It doesn't have a whole lot of room.

This is a great side by side fridge. We replaced the last Whirlpool fridge, after 15 years. This is the same model with improved features. It's beautiful in black, and interior is white with clear shelves. I love the filtered water and the push button lock feature to prevent my young children from making a mess with the water and ice dispenser. surprisingly holds a lot of food. I especially love that the door holds full gallon milks. I would recommend this fridge to anyone who wants a good reliable quality fridge that is reasonably priced!

Had it over six months now so changed the water filter, super easy. Just push the button bottom front on grill, filter pops out, pull off cap, place cap on new filter, push it into place. You do not even have to turn off the water. Ice maker works great too, always plenty of ice.

We downsized to a villa, so the kitchen area is smaller than our last house. We had to sell our Whirlpool Gold large refrigerator, but knew we wanted another Whirlpool. We found this model and loved it. It's just the right size for our kitchen and for us (only 2 of us). I love the exterior - no fingerprints and easy to keep clean.
