I also had the same problem with the magtrometer. I bought my condo less than 2 years ago and this was the appliance that the builder put in. There was also no extended warranty. Called Whirlpool repair and the cost just to come out to tell me to buy a new microwave was about $110.00. VERY Disappointed. My $150 microwave lasted me for years and years. The Whirlpool Gold I found cost over $400. Now I have been without a microwave for over a week since the repair took several days to schedule with them.

This microwave came with my home purchase three years ago, and it's been awesome. I haven't encounter any issue with it, and it only require minimal maintenance; cleaning the filter.

I bought this in 2012 and it lasted two years. The heating element has stopped working despite the rest of the unit working. The part to fix is $250...so the cost of a brand new machine. Very disappointed.

Very poor design. Too many plastic parts for a microwave that is over a stove. The handle broke (plastic) the hood cover broke (plastic). The heating element burned out after 2 years of service. Very disappointed not under warranty for anything that was broken. It cost more to repair than to replace the microwave. The fan is very loud even on low setting.

For the amount of money i spent, i would expect this microwave to last at least 5 years. With 3 years of moderate usage is gone. I had a good impression of Whirpool brand but that impression is gone now. Too much money spent in a piece of junk.

I've owned this microwave for over a year now and it's working great. The fan noise is a little loud while running but other than that I like it. Oh, being stainless it shows everything...just saying.

I had this for a year and the bottom of the handle broke and it stopped heating. The heating element was replaced under warranty which was nice but the handle isn't covered outside of the 30 days which was a bummer.
