I really dislike this washer/dryer pair, but it came with our new condo. We have cabinets above that hold our laundry detergent, and every time I lean over to get something out of the cabinet it turns the washer or dryer either on , off, or stops it mid cycle. It's VERY annoying!!

Bought this dryer and matching washer 12 months ago . Washer great, dryer awful. Sheets tangle after 5 minutes so have to stop dryer, rearrange dryer contents. Takes 2 attempts to dry a full load, found that putting it all on BULKY selection reduces time but only for items that can rake the highest temp. Absolutely worst dryer ever owned, old Kenmore a gem compared to this piece of junk. If you want to spend 2 hours monitoring your washer buy this, but don't anticipate setting it and going out the door... you will have a tangled mess to deal with when you return, partly dry clothes wrapped tightly around over dry ones. Pure junk.

End-of-cycle signal has just quit!

This dryer (and accompanying washer) came with our new condo. We've been using it for a month. It dries fine, but I cannot fathom why a thousand-dollar dryer doesn't have a drum light! Also, the end-of-cycle signal has now stopped working entirely, after gradually losing volume. (When the guy comes to fix our new, broken Whirlpool fridge, we'll ask him to look at that.) It's been a bit of a challenge to figure out right timing and heat level for permanent-press items; no dedicated cycle for that. Controls are very "touchy"; sometimes will turn on if a piece of clothing just rushes by the control pad. I don't think I'd choose this model, knowing what I do now.

We bought this dryer a month ago as part of a new laundry pair. It works amazingly well. Our clothes are fully dried the first time we run it. Our 8 year old's favorite chore is cleaning the lint filter now. He will race to get it out of the dryer. Our old machine had the filter on top and it was difficult for him to do this alone. Overall, we are very pleased. Out new pair has turned my wife into a Whirlpool Appliance Customer for life!

liked my old Duet that was 10 years better

My 10 year old Duet malfunctioned several days ago. Since it was 10 years old everyone talked me out of fixing it. Sorry I listened but that is what happens when you need something quick. I don't know who came up with the design of the lint trap. This machine was not tested much. It sticks out so far the clothes get stuck on it maybe only momentarily does seem like a good thing. So far not impressed with the quad baffles. The tap touch controls well you better tap them in the right spot or they will not respond. I am having trouble remembering the handle is built into the ring around the window awkward ! NO light inside even my 10 year old one has a light. Maybe I bought a bottom of the line one. we took the old one apart I looked it up on youtube, the directions were inside the machine on how to trouble shoot. Good place for them. we did the tests recommended it appears it is the thermistor. I hope it is not a part that costs less than $ 50. I hope with time I like this model better. It seems to dry okay but sometimes its the little things that make or break how you feel about something.
