This was in our new construction home. Within 4 years, the back control pannel bubbled up 2 times from getting too hot when using broil feature. Also, the oven will only ignite at 350 degrees and sometimes won't ignite to preheat at all. We are replacing. Several people in the neighborhood had the same issues and had to replace in under 5 years

I would never buy another whirl pool product. I am stuck with a gas range that after the three day using the top stove the base got rough like burn paint I call repair n they replace it and advised me that only one time they replace that part. So I guess this is an on going problem sine they advised me that they only replace it once. My stove always looks like it not clean. I am so ashamed when people come over. But I do tell them not to purchase a whirlpool product.

I bought my stove a month ago and so far I am happy with it. I LOVE the griddle and half rack in the oven. I love that my food cooks faster. I love that the small burners are in the back so I don't have to worry about melting the control panel. My pies come out with crisp bottoms using glass pans, and everything else has been great as well. I am writing a cookbook and need things to turn out well in order to add them to my book. This stove fills the bill. I love it!

The positives are the modern design, simmer and power burners. However, the 5th burner is not helpful/usable, the front burners are very high powered so in order to lower to a low heat you have to slide the pot to one of the back burners. The cook surface seems rather small so you cannot have a large frypan and a pot on the front/back at the same time. The finish on the burner caps is already chipping.

We brought our new Whirlpool Gold range about a month ago and we are certainly loving it so far! I must admit, I have yet to really "master" how everything works. Honestly it took me a second to figure out how to program the preheat along with the automatic cook time and temp. All which was totally user error! I can tell that this range does a lot of the thinking for me, and once I realize what I want that will be great lol. Its very sleek and looks amazing along side the other Gold Series appliances.

I bought this as part of a kitchen remodel. I wasn't planning on purchasing this level, but at a sale price it fit into my spending plan. I love it. I'm replacing a range that was already here when I bought the house. It was fine, but certainly not as nice as this. Five burners are great, the oven is huge, with three racks. I have not tried the self-cleaning yet, so can't review, that. I did not see this range in person before purchasing, there was not one on display. But I studied the description on line so felt comfortable. It is even nicer looking than I expected. One negative: the electronic controls are a little difficult; you have to really push them, compared to other appliances, like the microwave, which you really have to just press them.

I'll get right to the point. Five days after purchasing this range I wanted to return it. The oven would take forever to bake or reheat anything, and after about the 4th day would not finish the pre-heating cycle. I called my dealer and requested a service tech.When he arrived he couldn't believe the way it was reacting. At this point he was advising a new circuit board for the range. Just before leaving he took out the storage drawer and discovered 1 of the 2 electronic connectors on the right side of range was only partially connected. After pressing this connector in firmly the range oven has worked like a charm. Love it, especially the convection mode.I would definitely recommend this gas range. Would have given 5 stars, but couldn't because of the aggravation.Make sure these connectors are seated properly before installers leave your home.

I cook every day and couldn't wait to test this range out. Used the convection feature to bake cookies and brownies. Came out perfect. No hard edges on the brownies, cookies were perfect. Broiled porterhouse steaks. They came out med rare just like we love them. No standing outside in the snow grilling. Roasting a chicken later.Conventional or convection!!! This is fun.

I bought this range in October so I could have it for the Holiday's. It really is a workhorse and the features are right on. The range top is easy to clean, especially with the tools provided.The steam assist oven cleaning takes some getting used to, but I have found that if you use it frequently (once a week or so, depending on the baking you are doing) it does a good job.
