installing was a problem.

Haven't used it yet although I've had it setting in the garage for 3 weeks. I specifically bought this model because it came with a 4 way venting system. Because I bought it on-line I had nobody to talk too about the difficulty or directions on how to install a side vent. I was finally told that a certified installer need to change the vent or the warranty would be voided. So at an additional cost of 500 bucks a installed was supplied via Lowe's. But when they came out to install it they were told that that i had a vent kit which I didn't so they couldn't install it and rescheduled. So although it may be a great dryer It still sits in the garage. The process has been very difficult.Rich

I originally bought the electric smaller version of this dryer and LOVED IT. we converted the house over to gas and I decided to get this slightly bigger model. I've been using it for about 2 weeks and its great. Its not loud and everything comes out dry, even large blankets. I haven't tried the steam option yet but am very excited for it. My one con about this dryer is the lint catcher; it's difficult to clean. The previous dryer was a typical lint catcher, slightly curved. No issues. With this one, the catcher is a U shape and you have to stick your hand all the way in and scrape the bottom of the U. It's pretty difficult to get all the way to the bottom.

This dryer is perfect for big families like mine (8). Don't forget to read through the manual. It will help you realize that the lint trap can be opened to clean out. Large drum, small footprint!

I love my new whirlpool 8.8 cu ft dryer. I didn't think I could get a dryer this big without looking at a commercial dryer, which was just too large for the room and super expensive by comparison. It can comfortably take a full load from my extra large washer, which means the clothes have lots of room to tumble, they dry super fast and wrinkles are almost non-existent. So glad I found it!

Not a happy camper

I'm In Heaven!!!

This was the best decision!!! Very intuitive. All you need to know is the type of item and go. The dryer sets everything else according the type of item. I was skeptical about a gas dryer. It dries items 3 to 4 times faster. I see no increase in my gas bill either. I never knew that your clothes feel so much softer in a gas dryer compared to the "crunchiness" of an electric dryer.

Very Good Purchase

I purchased this dryer and a campion washer and couldn't be more pleased with my purchases. My previous Whirlpool washer and dryer were functioning fine but nearing the end of their lives. The features on the new generation of products are very innovative and function flawlessly. Clothes are cleaner, noise is reduced, efficiency is increased and the steam features allow me to freshen garments and linens without needles washing. A great product in every respect.

Nice Dryer

The lint trap is a little difficult to get used to. And you cannot cancel a selection without having to turn the unit off. The word "End" remains on unit after the cycle has ended until you turn it off or open the door. My clothes come out wrinkled still, but I feel this is due to the washer tangling them up badly. Overall I am satisfied.
