After 2 months of daily use I am very happy with this purchase. The economy setting is very useful as the unit is able to cool the downstairs easily. It is also very quiet while running and it makes less noise than my air purifier. It is more expensive but it is worth the price.

Although my first unit died for an unknown reason outside of the warranty period and LG couldnt help me find a local LG certified repair company I decided to roll the dice with the devil I know. Hopefully this unit lasts longer than the first.

I bought this as a renewed unit through Amazonn. It arrived well packaged and in original box inside another box. Its pretty heavy so I had to wait for help getting it up to my 3rd floor apartment. Installation was really quite easy. I used a Frost King A/C support bracket love these for installation. Setting up WIFI and the smart app was pretty smooth for this non-tech savvy senior. Ive been using it almost every day for about 2 months. Being on the top floor means if its 65 outdoors its 75-80+ in here - too warm for me I use it on Eco mode fan speed 1 about 90 of the time. My living room and kitchen/dining area are a large L-shape area - pretty sure its more than the 450 sq feet the unit should be asked to cool. I have a large fan on the floor pointed into the kitchen area to help circulate. This set up keeps me very comfortable. The bonus is that Ive compared my electric usage to same period for 2022 2021 present and I can see that Im using less electricity with this new unit. This unit is pretty quiet which is great because its in a window right behind the couch in the LR. I do not have to blast the TV sound to hear my movies - thats huge Last summer I had a good unit in there but it was so loud that it interfered with the TV sound and sitting near it was annoying. Moved that annoyinng unit into my bedroom which works better for me bc many nights I just dont need a/c. I get lots of power outages in my rural area and the unit will go back on to whatever it was set at before outage. Love this becasue Im not always home to turn it back on. Love the ThinQ app on my phone so I can check settings and adjust from work if necessary. LG is not cheap but well worth the extra money Ironically it takes $ to save $. If youre running an old appliance of any kind youre missing out on long term savings.

Very not happy with this unit. I bought new in 2021 and the condenser fan broke in 2 days. I got a replacement unit and just install it this past Friday after sitting in the box new for 2 years. This same thing did not make it much longer. Uggghhh and of-coarse no warranty due to not installing until now. I have the 15000 version and it has ran flawless the last 3 years. The LW1019ivsm one was for a spare to cool the back of the house but was not need until last week due to heat wave.
